OAK MULTITOP

This is not a laminate or a solid board, but an engineered board of the highest quality, it offers all the benefits of solid Oak and none of the drawbacks. This beautifully finished floor allows for virtually no expansion or shrinkage, which only leads to a floor that is there to stay the test of time.

Designed especially for under floor heating applications, Multitop is a new and revolutionary floor. It has all the added benefits of a solid wood floor but does not experience the same problems. Multitop boards are of an engineered construction. The top layer of wood is pressed and glued onto a layer of multiplex wood using a unique process. The board is made up of a 6mm thick piece of solid oak laminated onto a 15mm thick birch plywood. This makes the board extremely stable and allows for virtually no movement in the way of shrinkage or expansion. The resulting engineered Multitop is an outstanding floor. It radiates the same warmth as other wooden floors. It is 90% more stable than solid oak floors! Many of the problems associated with solid wooden floors are practically eliminated. The stability of the product allows you to fit with confidence using a variety of methods.

Multitop is prefinished with hardwax oil. It is dried using ultra violet light. The finish enhances the appearance of the floor and makes it extremely hard wearing.

Specification: Tongue and groove all four sides, 6mm solid face bonded to a 15mm solid birch plywood, 180 & 200mm widths, finished thickness 21mm with two coats of Oswax.
